Official introduction of DESK®5
Recently MultimediaBrains has launched her latest generation publication platform, DESK®5.
In 1998 MultimediaBrains launched the first generation based on their DESK® platform. Now in 2010 the fifth generation sees the light. DESK®5 is released to support better than before the steps within the publication processes. Publications can be managed and published in a more automated and flexible way within a user friendly environment than ever before.
With the introduction of DESK®5 MultimediaBrains puts a whole new dimension into control of multi channel publication processes. Going further in process control, efficiency and substantially decreasing costs.
With DESK®5 automatic template driven creation of print as well as in a very sophisticated way via DTP is supported. Intelligent integration possibility of external suppliers, such as DTP, layout designers, photo studio, translators, printers and other parties in the Desk workflow guarantees enormous cost reduction and valuable time.

Group Auto Union distinguishes themselves with DESK®
Group Auto Union offers cooperative services for her members, which are in the automotive sales & repair business. Group Auto Union manages different franchise formulas such as carxpert.nl, diagnoseexpert.nl en toptruck.nl.
Group Auto Union asked MultimediaBrains to set up a multi level publication platform. This central system supports content and image management of Group Auto Unions website (targeted at resellers) as well as the individual websites of her members which target local customers.
The system ensures a consistency of the house style and also provides members a user friendly solution for personalizing their own website and keeping it up to date using their own as well as the Group Auto Union dealer group content.

Stabu migrates from DESK®3 to version 4
Stabu is a technical import and export wholesaler. Already for years they are an enthusiastic user of Desk for managing their content and publishing their catalogues and website. In 2009 Stabu decided to migrate to DESK®4 and asked MMB also to develop their new website. DESK®4 has been connected to their Exact back office application which enables Stabu to import debit and article information directly into Desk for publishing on the website and in their catalogue.

Tour operator Oad Reizen wins prestigious award for best travel brochure 2008
At the Dutch Trade Fair “Vakantiebeurs 2009” (aka Vakdag) trade journal “Reisrevue” presented the popular awards also known as “Veren”.
Based on numerous nominee entries a group of experts elected Oad’s 2008 catalogues as the best in the trade on 10 different accounts. As Oad is producing all pages with the automated Desk-system they were even able to finish production 3 weeks ahead of schedule with the winter catalogues and even 6 weeks ahead with the following summer 2009 catalogues.

Oad’s Cost Savings
Desk user Oad published in trade journal “Reisrevue” their results of implementing a new ICT-project. Oad issues about 100 travel catalogues a year containing more than 15.000 pages. Also publishing 10 websites which account for 15 million hits. The new ICT-system enables Oad to manage all publications through a single CMS-system. Users are supported by an integrated template driven automated page generation. With this solution Oad was able to save costs up to 1,5 million euro’s. (Source: Reisrevue 18 october ’08)
